My husband and I have been married for 31 years. For approximately 27 of them, we have had various methods of keeping up with our grocery list, but since we both add to the list, keeping it constantly updated has always been a problem, no matter what we tried. Until Alexa. That problem has been solved for the past four years and we are thrilled. No matter where we are or what we are doing, there is a way for each of us to add to the grocery list.

Although we call Alexa our "local spy device" and sometimes turn the mic off, in general, it's pretty unobtrusive. I'm enjoying my Echo video in the kitchen because I don't watch TV....it will show me You Tube if I have a question or need to see how to do something.

I can't imagine fighting over what she does or has done. It's just not in our way of doing things to fight...so for us it's definitely a net positive. We also do use her for small things like turning on lights, timers, etc. but don't have a strong desire to turn just everything over to her. This is one tech advance I don't want to reverse, for sure.
